Glonghui, September 3rd|Uber launched a self-driving ride-hailing service in London on Thursday, utilizing artificial intelligence technology developed by UK company Wayve. This makes London the second city in Europe, after Zagreb, where Uber offers autonomous taxi services. The two companies stated that initially, a certified operator will be stationed in the vehicle to monitor it, and fully driverless operation will be implemented gradually. Fewer than 20 vehicles will be available at the start of the service.
