Omdia Director Park Jin-han stated at the 2026 Omdia Korea Display Conference held today local time that, with memory prices remaining high, Apple's LCD version of the MacBook Pro will be sold at least until the end of 2027. The analyst believes that Apple is no longer considering a quick and comprehensive switch of MacBook Pro screens to OLED. Due to the parallel shipments of both display panels, the scale of Apple’s ITOLED orders will inevitably drop significantly compared to previous forecasts. According to analysis, the demand for the OLED version of the MacBook Pro this year will be only around 1 million units, and next year it will also be difficult to exceed 4 million units, making it impossible to widen the gap with the LCD version of the MacBook Pro.
