Microchip, Marelli Introduce Open-Standard Display Connectivity Product for Software-Defined Vehicles

09:04 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Microchip Technology (MCHP) and Marelli unveiled a new display connectivity product using ASA Motion Link, an open standard designed to stream graphics and video directly from a vehicle's central computer to displays, Marelli said Thursday. The product uses Microchip's VS7000 ASA-ML chipset and Marelli's display-side integration for centralized vehicle architectures, it said. It enables data rates of up to 16 Gbps, link-layer authentication and encryption, lossless communication and greater supplier flexibility, it added. The companies said the system is designed to allow components from multiple technology providers to communicate using the same connectivity standard.
