Digital marketing platform Mailer Lite: The system did not send any emails and did not export its contact list
The digital marketing platform Mailer Lite issued an email alert stating that a support team member clicked on a phishing link, entered Google credentials, and confirmed it twice, allowing hackers to access Mailer Lite's internal system.
After gaining access, the attacker performed a password reset on specific users from the management panel, further consolidating their unauthorized control. The attacker impersonated user accounts and focused entirely on cryptocurrency-related accounts. The attacker accessed 117 accounts, and a few accounts were used to launch phishing campaigns using personal information.
According to Mailer Lite, the system did not send any emails or export its contact list.
Previously, Golden Finance reported that Blockaid: Mailer Lite, a digital marketing platform, was hit by a phishing attack, resulting in a loss of over $600,000.
