Ghana to Issue Licenses to Cryptocurrency Companies
Odaily Planet Daily News: Ghana plans to issue licenses to cryptocurrency platforms as authorities seek to regulate this asset class, which is used by millions in the West African nation, while also generating revenue. The Governor of Ghana's central bank stated that the central bank is finalizing a regulatory framework, which is expected to be submitted to parliament for review in September. The proposed legislation will enable the country to fully leverage cryptocurrencies, promote cross-border trade, attract strategic investment, and collect financial data. (Jin10)
