Volatus Aerospace Qualified Under Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace

08:27 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Volatus Aerospace (FLT.TO) gained the status as a pre-qualified supplier under the Canadian Government's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace. The qualification allows Volatus to compete for future opportunities involving uncrewed and autonomous systems to support the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Coast Guard, the company said Thursday. Canada launched the marketplace in July 2026 to strengthen the country's domestic defense industrial capacity, according to Volatus. Volatus noted that the qualification does not represent an award of a procurement contract, nor does it guarantee future revenue.
