JPMorgan Chase: Skeptical of SEC’s approval of Solana and other cryptocurrency ETFs
Golden Finance reported that JPMorgan Chase does not expect the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to approve other cryptocurrency ETFs after the spot Ethereum ETF. Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, managing director and global market strategist at JPMorgan Chase Co., said the investment bank is skeptical the SEC will approve such a fund, given that it considers most cryptocurrencies to be securities. Of course, unless U.S. policymakers ultimately pass legislation deeming most cryptocurrencies not to be securities, the SEC may approve other cryptocurrency ETFs, Panigirtzoglou said. But he said there was no such legislation yet.
