Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer Predicts Bitcoin Could Reach $100,000, ETH to Hit Record Highs
Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at Bitwise, reportedly said that all of the current sell-off headwinds are one-off sales that have created a short-term liquidity shock, and that the seasonal period when cryptocurrencies are typically less liquid is coming to an end.
In contrast, spot Bitcoin ETF inflows, Bitcoin halving, a shift in political attitudes on spot Ether ETFs, and the prospect of Fed rate cuts have created a better long-term environment for cryptocurrencies.
Combined with strong growth in the stablecoin market, Layer 2 development, and the increasing involvement of institutions like BlackRock in the space, the right mix of developments in the second half of the year could easily propel Bitcoin to $100,000 and push ETH to new all-time highs.
