The TON network has launched a penalty system for validators
News on September 13, the TON validator channel announced that a penalty system for validators was launched on September 9. The TON network uses the checkloadall command in the lite-client tool to analyze the number of blocks that a validation node should process within a specific time and the actual number processed. If a validation node processes less than 90% of the expected number of blocks, it is considered underperforming and should be penalized. The fine is fixed at 101 TON, which is approximately equal to each round's income for validation nodes. Fines will be distributed to other validation nodes, deducting network costs and small rewards (about 8 TON) for those who initiate complaints. This move by the TON network aims to solve previous network interruption issues caused by two surges in DOGS transactions in August.
