Attorney and Republican U.S. Senate candidate John Deaton has said that the SEC's overreach into the cryptocurrency industry has cost retail investors more than $15 billion. Deaton's statement comes two weeks after the pro-XRP attorney won the nomination for the U.S. Senate in the Massachusetts primary, where he will face off against Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren in November.
