The three major U.S. stock indexes have risen for six consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest weekly rise since the end of 2023
The S&P 500 rose 0.85% for the week, the Nasdaq gained 0.8% and the Dow gained 0.96%, each posting a six-week winning streak, their longest weekly winning streak since late 2023.
The Dow Jones Index closed up 36.86 points, or 0.09%, on Friday, October 18, at 43275.91 points;
The S&P 500 Index closed up 23.20 points, or 0.40%, on Friday, October 18, at 5864.67 points;
The Nasdaq Composite Index closed up 115.94 points, or 0.63%, on Friday, October 18, at 18,489.55 points.
