The chief engineer of Pond.fun embezzled liquidity and transferred 64.8 ETH
According to an official disclosure by Pond.fun, the Meme coin Launchpad on Linea, Pond.fun was attacked by a hacker this morning. The attacker is Genesis, the project's chief software engineer who has stolen liquidity from smart contracts and dumped tokens, transferring a total of 64.8 ETH to the privacy protocol Railgun.
Pond.fun warns users to avoid interacting with its official website and efrogs and croak websites to prevent further security risks. Currently, they have contacted Chainalysis and Elliptic to ensure that hackers cannot pass through Proof of Innocence (POI) review and are working with the Linea team to investigate this incident.
