Ripple CEO: Legally victorious, proving XRP is not a security
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ripple officially released a full statement from its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse. He stated: "More than four years ago, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Ripple. Now we can finally announce that this case is over, it's all over. The SEC was not seeking justice; they just wanted to win the lawsuit at all costs. Ripple has legally won, proving that XRP is not a security - this was a battle we never thought of at Ripple but knew we had to win. And today, indeed we have won."
