Farcaster launches data layer Snapchain mainnet
PANews reported on March 22, according to Theblock, the decentralized social media protocol Farcaster has launched the mainnet of its "blockchain-like" data layer Snapchain and simultaneously went live with its "Airdrop Offers" incentive program to reward active users of the decentralized social media platform. According to co-founder Varun Srinivasan's announcement in December when launching the Snapchain testnet, the new system can process over 10,000 transactions per second. It is reported that it took only six months from conception to official use.
Previous news stated that Farcaster plans to launch a new data layer called Snapchain in Q1 of next year.
