Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood: Ethereum cannot surpass Bitcoin
Foresight News reported that Ark Invest founder and CEO Cathie Wood stated in an interview with "The Master Investor" podcast that she firmly believes bitcoin will become the largest cryptocurrency to date. She also shared her friendly disagreement with Fundstrat's Tom Lee, explaining why she thinks ethereum cannot surpass bitcoin, even though her interest in ethereum is growing and she recently purchased BitMine shares. Wood said she prefers bitcoin over ethereum because bitcoin's scale will continue to expand; it is a rules-based global monetary system, and as a Layer 1 that has never been hacked, it is also the first platform to pioneer an entirely new asset class. In contrast, while ethereum supports DeFi, it is facing fierce competition from Layer 2 solutions.
