Cardano founder criticizes Trump’s cryptocurrency policy for harming the industry’s prospects
According to TechFlow, on December 19, Decrypt reported that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently stated in an interview with Decrypt that Trump's launch of a personal meme coin is "disheartening." He said this move has turned cryptocurrency into a partisan issue and undermined the momentum of bipartisan cooperation in Congress. Hoskinson criticized Trump for launching a meme coin and the "World Freedom Finance" project before returning to the White House, blurring the lines between policy and personal interests. He also opposed Trump's proposed "strategic crypto reserve" plan, which includes bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies, arguing that the government should not intervene in the market to pick winners. Hoskinson revealed that because he publicly criticized these policies, he was excluded from private dinners with the president and lost the opportunity to participate in the legislative process.
