Total crypto venture capital in 2025 reaches $34 billions, doubling compared to 2024.PANews, February 4th – According to a Cointelegraph Research report, total venture capital investment in the crypto sector is expected to reach $34 billion in 2025, doubling from $17 billion in 2024. Among these, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization has become the dominant narrative, with funding in this sector exceeding $2.5 billion. There has been a significant shift in investment logic: institutions now prefer projects with sustainable revenue models and clear market fit, resulting in later-stage funding, an 18% decrease in seed round investments, and a 90% increase in Series B funding. The total market capitalization of tokenized RWAs has surpassed $3.8 billion, making it one of the fastest-growing sectors in crypto. However, compared to the global traditional market, which is worth hundreds of trillions of dollars, there is still vast room for growth. Meanwhile, the financing boom for Ethereum Layer 2 and modular infrastructure has sharply declined, with 2025 funding at only $162 million, down 72% from 2024. The report attributes this to the saturation of the L2 ecosystem and the full release of investment demand.
