During the Iran war, Oman continues to maintain stable LNG supply in the Middle East.Golden Ten Data reported on March 17 that, according to informed sources, Oman’s liquefied natural gas plant intends to sell a batch of LNG destined for Asia, indicating that despite the ongoing Iran war, the supply of this fuel from the Middle East remains uninterrupted. Traders have been closely monitoring Oman (the world’s eighth-largest LNG producer) to see whether it will continue exporting LNG amid increasing regional tensions. The country’s export plant is located on the Arabian Sea, which means tankers can reach the facility without passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Shipping data shows that the LNG plant in Qalhat, Oman, has loaded nine cargoes since the war began. The sources said the upcoming shipment will be delivered between late April and early May. The tender ended earlier on Tuesday. Although supplies from Oman continue to flow, the country’s LNG exports may still be at risk, especially since Iran has already attacked a port in Sohar, which is about 200 miles (320 kilometers) from the Qalhat LNG plant.
