TRON Mainnet Releases GreatVoyage v4.8.1 (Democritus) Upgrade Version
BlockBeats News, on February 9, the TRON developer community officially released the mainnet GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 (Democritus) version. This upgrade is mandatory, and developers must complete the update by 23:59 on March 9, 2026 (UTC+8) to ensure normal network synchronization and operation. The Democritus version notably introduces support for ARM64 architecture and JDK 17, significantly expanding node deployment environments. At the same time, adjustments have been made to the SELFDESTRUCT instruction in TVM, fully aligning with Ethereum EIP-6780 standards, further enhancing cross-ecosystem compatibility. On the network level, the version greatly improves network stability and security through P2P message rate limiting, synchronization logic, and error code optimization. In addition, event services, API capabilities, and configuration governance mechanisms have also received systematic upgrades, continuously improving the developer experience. This upgrade reflects TRON's ongoing evolution in performance, governance, and ecosystem compatibility.
