According to CoinDesk, Shiba Inu's developers are collaborating with internet domain company D3 to launch a ".shib" internet and top-level domain as part of their identity-focused project advancement. A representative from Shiba Inu stated that they are working with D3 to apply for the ".shib" top-level domain and plan to submit an application in the next window through ICANN (the global database for internet domains).
