Analyst: Bitcoin's Appeal as a Hedge Against Persistent Inflationary Pressure is Strengthening
Jag Kooner, the derivatives director at Bitfinex, stated that Bitcoin is becoming an attractive choice for portfolio diversification in the macroeconomic environment of ongoing inflation. Kooner suggests that various macroeconomic headwinds in 2024 may enhance the safe-haven status of assets like Bitcoin, gold, and silver. He stated, "Persistently high inflation levels above the comfort zone of central banks worldwide are expected to keep interest rates at elevated levels in the long term. This situation may weaken current market expectations of early monetary policy easing in developed markets, potentially leaving investors somewhat disappointed."
