Farcaster subscriber numbers hit record highs
The decentralized social media protocol Farcaster has reached a record number of users, with the platform reaching an all-time high of more than 73,700 unique casters last week. The protocol has generated 611.03 ETH in revenue. One possible reason for the surge in users is founder Dan Romer's announcement that they are working on a new tool for in-app payments using USDC. The feature is designed to solve the perennial problem of having to look up someone's alphanumeric wallet address and allows users to send directly from their Farcaster ID.
