Ripple plans to launch a new token standard MPT on the XRP Ledger this month
Ripple will launch a new token standard "MPT" on the XRP Ledger this month, aiming to enhance its support for real-world assets (RWA). Jasmine Cooper, Ripple's DeFi product manager, explained that MPT is specifically designed for RWA and can store metadata directly with the asset. This integration enhances the scalability and flexibility of XRPL, making it more suitable for institutional use cases and lowering the entry threshold for these organizations.
