Pump.fun hit with cease and desist letter over alleged use of law firm logos and names in memecoins
Pump.fun, a platform for creating Solana memecoins, has received a cease and desist letter from US law firms Burwick Law and Wolf Popper over tokens that allegedly use their logos and names without permission. The firms have demanded the immediate removal of tokens, including Dog Shit Going NoWhere (DOGSHIT2), that have impersonated them through unlicensed use of their intellectual property. Pump.fun has confirmed that multiple users have created tokens using the name and logos of the law firms in various configurations. The cease and desist letter also alleges that Pump.fun launched tokens in conjunction with third-party efforts to interfere with ongoing litigation.
