According to Tech Crunch, the Reserve Bank of India will launch exclusive .bank.in domain names for banks from April to curb digital payment fraud. At the same time, it plans to introduce separate fin.in domain names for non-bank financial institutions. The Reserve Bank of India stated that it will separately issue detailed guidelines to banks on the new initiative aimed at helping users distinguish between legitimate bank websites and fraudulent websites.
