David Sack: The US May Acquire More Bitcoin, Key is to Persuade Treasury or Commerce Department to Provide Funding
According to Cointelegraph, David Sacks, the head of AI and cryptocurrency affairs at the U.S. White House, stated at the Bitcoin 2025 conference that while he "cannot promise anything," the U.S. government does have avenues to purchase more Bitcoin. If the government can fund the purchase in a "budget-neutral" manner without taxing or increasing the growing national debt, then the U.S. can buy more Bitcoin.
Sacks stated: "The question is whether we can get the Treasury or the Commerce Department excited about this, because if they do and can figure out how to fund it, then they actually have the President's authorization."
