Trump plans to meet with Putin face-to-face as early as next week
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing the New York Times, two sources familiar with the matter revealed that President Trump intends to hold a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Putin as early as next week, and subsequently plans to hold a trilateral meeting with both Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky. The sources stated that Trump disclosed this plan during a call with European leaders on Wednesday. The meeting will be limited to the leaders of the United States, Russia, and Ukraine, with no representatives from any European countries participating. According to the sources, European leaders appeared to accept Trump’s explanation. It remains unclear whether Putin or Zelensky has agreed to Trump’s proposed plan.
