Trump to Meet Zelensky in Washington on Monday
According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. President Trump stated on Saturday that he had held several hours of talks with Russian President Putin the previous day, describing the summit as "progressing very smoothly." Although Trump repeatedly emphasized the issue of a ceasefire before the meeting, the two leaders did not reach a ceasefire agreement after their talks. Subsequently, Zelensky posted that he planned to meet with Trump "to discuss all the details of ending the conflict." Trump said he had spoken overnight with Zelensky and other European leaders by phone, and announced on Truth Social that he is scheduled to meet with the Ukrainian leader in the Oval Office on Monday afternoon. Trump also said, "If all goes well, we will then arrange a meeting with President Putin."
