Indiana State Representative introduces HB 1042 bill, proposing to allow public investment funds to invest in crypto ETFs
Foresight News reported that Indiana State Representative Kyle Pierce announced that he has submitted the HB 1042 bill. This bill allows public investment funds to enter the digital currency sector and permits public investment funds to invest in crypto ETFs. To provide such options, the required state investment programs include the 529 education savings plan as well as specific retirement funds for teachers, public employees, and legislators. Additionally, it allows other state investment funds to allocate their assets to crypto ETFs. The state committee will not vote on the bill until January.
