Ledger confirms user data breach, experts advise prioritizing privacy protection
Show original
Ledger confirmed on Monday that its third-party payment processor, Global-e, experienced a data breach, resulting in the exposure of a large amount of customer information. Although Ledger stated that private keys, wallet funds, and payment information were not accessed, the breach involved the names and contact details of users who purchased devices through its online store. Security researchers warn that such leaks could lead to wallet theft, financial losses, and even real-world risks such as "wrench attacks."
