On January 5, Coinbob monitoring showed that the "Altcoin Short Army Leader" gradually built up short positions in the recently surging meme coin PEPE over the past two hours, with the current position size around $120,000 at an average price of $0.007. Their LIT short position has reached $11.2 million at an average price of $2.7, making them the largest short on LIT, ASTER, and UNI on the Hyperliquid platform. Since November, this address has held more than 20 types of altcoins, with the total position size increasing to $40.7 million and cumulative profits for the year reaching $81 million. In contrast, another "long basket of altcoins" whale has accumulated losses of over $42.7 million this year, with their total position sharply reduced to $2.33 million.
