After the Trove ICO, its token and Perp DEX were deployed on Solana instead of Hyperliquid, sparking strong community backlash
BlockBeats News, January 19th, Perp DEX Trove announced last week after raising $11.5 million through an ICO that it will be moving its TROVE token and its perpetual contract DEX platform from Hyperliquid to Solana, overturning the previously disclosed plan to participants.
Trove stated that a liquidity partner originally supporting its deployment on Hyperliquid chose to liquidate a 500,000 HYPE position, which was the partner's independent decision but this change altered the project's constraints.
Therefore, Trove stated that it will no longer develop based on Hyperliquid's infrastructure, but will instead rebuild its perpetual contract trading platform from scratch on Solana, covering multiple asset classes including RWAs (Real World Assets) and prediction markets.
This sudden adjustment has triggered strong dissatisfaction within the community, especially among some ICO participants who had expected the project to launch on Hyperliquid and remain aligned with the HYPE ecosystem.
