According to a report by Bijie Network: India and the European Union have finally finalized a free trade agreement, which is expected to double the EU's exports of goods to India by 2032 and save 4 billion euros in tariffs annually. This agreement, which covers goods, services, and trade rules, may prompt India to clarify its cryptocurrency regulatory provisions. Currently, India imposes a 30% tax on cryptocurrency gains and withholds a 1% tax, which is seen as a factor driving cryptocurrency activity offshore. Analysts point out that amid global trade tensions, the agreement provides India with a strategic shield, while bitcoin is currently trading below $88,000.
