Just one week after revealing a collaboration with OpenAI, ServiceNow has announced a significant new agreement with Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence research company.
The enterprise workflow software provider has entered into a multi-year partnership with Anthropic, aiming to integrate Anthropic’s advanced AI models more deeply into the ServiceNow platform for both its clients and internal teams.
Details regarding the length and financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed by ServiceNow.
Claude Model to Power ServiceNow AI Products
As part of this collaboration, Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models will become the primary choice for ServiceNow’s AI-powered workflow solutions. Claude is now the default engine behind ServiceNow Build Agent, a tool that enables developers to create intelligent workflows and applications.
Additionally, ServiceNow’s 29,000 employees will gain access to Claude, and engineers at the company will be able to utilize Claude Code, Anthropic’s AI coding assistant.
“ServiceNow and Anthropic are transforming intelligence into action with AI-native workflows for the world’s largest businesses,” said Bill McDermott, chairman and CEO of ServiceNow, in a press statement. “We’re demonstrating that deeply integrated platforms with open ecosystems are the foundation of tomorrow’s innovations.”
Multi-Model AI Strategy
This announcement follows closely on the heels of ServiceNow’s recent partnership with OpenAI, which allows customers to leverage OpenAI’s models within ServiceNow’s offerings.
Amit Zavery, ServiceNow’s president, COO, and CPO, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing a variety of AI models for its clients.
“We don’t see these partnerships as being in competition or exclusive,” Zavery explained via email. “Our enterprise customers want flexibility and the ability to select the best model for each use case, while maintaining strong governance, security, and auditability on the ServiceNow AI Platform. Each AI model offers unique advantages, and our job is to orchestrate them to deliver optimal results for our users.”
Anthropic’s Growing Enterprise Presence
This deal is the latest in a series of major enterprise agreements for Anthropic. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Allianz, a global insurance leader, and has also formed alliances with Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, and Snowflake in recent months.
Outlook for Enterprise AI Adoption
While many organizations are still seeking clear returns on their AI investments, venture capitalists predict that 2026 could finally be the year when enterprise AI adoption accelerates—though this optimistic forecast has been made for the past three years in a row.
