Tether and Opera expand financial service coverage in emerging markets through MiniPay

According to a report by Bijie Network: Tether has expanded support for its USDT stablecoin and Tether Gold (via XAU₮0) in the Opera browser's MiniPay wallet, which is based on the Celo blockchain. This integration aims to promote financial inclusion in emerging markets and has quickly gained user recognition. MiniPay currently has over 12.6 million activated wallets and 7 million USDT wallets verified via mobile. In December 2025 alone, users initiated more than 96 million USDT transfers and topped up over $49 million in cash through local partners. Celo has become the fastest-growing native USDT blockchain, with a user growth rate of 506% over the past year.
