Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., headquartered in Thomasville, North Carolina, announced a net profit of $229.5 million for the fourth quarter.
The company reported earnings of $1.09 per share, outperforming the $1.06 per share anticipated by analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research.
Quarterly revenue reached $1.31 billion, also surpassing analyst projections, which averaged $1.3 billion according to Zacks.
For the full year, Old Dominion Freight Line achieved a total net income of $1.02 billion, or $4.84 per share, with annual revenue totaling $5.5 billion.
