Foresight News reported that the Ethereum Foundation has announced the official launch of the "Hong Kong Ethereum Community Hub" recently. Located in West Kowloon, this is the first physical Ethereum hub in Asia, initiated by the Ethereum Everywhere team of the Foundation and jointly operated by SNZ and ETHTAO.
During the Consensus 2026 conference, the hub hosted a Consensus side event on February 10. Hsiao-Wei Wang, Co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, delivered a keynote speech and held a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Ethereum Foundation. The gathering focused on topics such as privacy, institutional-grade on-chain yields, enterprise blockchain adoption, and infrastructure development, with participation from more than ten institutions and projects including Ant Group, Lido, Ether.fi, WisdomTree, Chainlink Labs, Safe, and Nethermind. Moving forward, the hub will hold monthly meetups, continuously providing a collaborative platform for developers, research institutions, and industry projects.
