Stripe Annual Letter: Stablecoin Payment Volume Doubles, AI Merchant Assistant Moves into Real-world Trial and Build Phase
BlockBeats News, February 25th, Stripe published its 2025 Annual Letter, stating that in 2025, despite the sharp decline in Bitcoin price, the stablecoin payment volume doubled to around $400 billion (with 60% being B2B), and the transaction volume of Bridge, the stablecoin platform acquired by Stripe, grew more than fourfold. Stripe continues to ramp up stablecoin adoption through acquisitions and the launch of Tempo, seeing it as a core driver of future currency flow.
Furthermore, Stripe pointed out that in 2025, agentic commerce entered the real-world experimentation and construction phase, with Stripe and OpenAI jointly developing the open standard Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) aimed at establishing a shared technological language between AI platforms and merchants to support programmatic business flows and Instant Checkout. They also launched the Agentic Commerce Suite. Stripe referred to these as infrastructure with "intergenerational impact potential," emphasizing that general interoperability and open design are key to success.
