Dragonfly partner and former co-founder in public dispute: Haseeb claims to have driven the fund’s growth, Alexander refutes his exaggeration of history
Foresight News reported that Dragonfly Managing Partner Haseeb Qureshi and former Dragonfly co-founder Alexander Pack (now co-founder of Hack VC) have publicly confronted each other. Haseeb first published a lengthy article sharing how to build a VC firm, claiming that Dragonfly started from scratch with no brand and only truly took off after his joining. Alexander Pack countered by stating that Dragonfly had already been co-founded by Feng Bo and himself for over a year before Haseeb joined, and they had already committed to leading investments in certain exchanges, Amber Group, Crusoe, and other projects, with fund announcements made prior to Haseeb’s employment. Haseeb responded by accusing Alexander of fabricating facts, asserting that the exchange in question involved his participation in IC decisions, Amber/Crusoe were not lead investments, and that he had informed Alexander of severing contact four years ago.
