On Thursday, Cass Information Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CASS) announced a strategic partnership with Caspian, an AI-powered customs refund platform, to introduce a comprehensive tariff cost management solution aimed at U.S. importers.

The collaboration is designed to improve cash flow, enhance compliance, and provide clearer insight into true landed product costs amid rising global trade complexity.

Cass and Caspian’s Strategic Partnership

The Cass–Caspian partnership will deliver a connected solution that combines payment processing, audit, compliance, recovery and reporting capabilities.

Caspian will enhance Cass’s existing payment and reporting infrastructure with AI-driven Harmonized Tariff Schedule modeling, advanced tariff audit tools, refund identification and full support for post summary corrections, protests and duty drawback programs.

Cass said clients leveraging its established ocean audit capabilities alongside the new tariff solution will gain more effective control over global trade costs.

This partnership strengthens our ability to help importers manage tariff costs with greater accuracy and transparency,” said Tony Urban, president of Cass’s freight payment organization. “Cass has supported duty payments for years. Now by adding Caspian’s compliance, audit, and recovery capabilities, we’re able to deliver the comprehensive solution our clients have been asking for.”
