IoTeX launches claims portal, clarifies that compensation funds do not come from the sale of IOTX tokens
PANews reported on March 3 that IoTeX has released another update on its security incident following a suspected private key leak and hacker attack, announcing that the claims portal is now officially online. Users affected by the previous attack can now submit compensation claims, and all affected users will be reimbursed. IoTeX stated that users with affected assets totaling no more than $10,000 will be compensated in stablecoins, covering more than 90% of affected users; users with affected assets totaling more than $10,000 will receive full compensation in phases and may also receive additional rewards. IoTeX clarified that the compensation funds do not come from the sale of IOTX tokens, but from the foundation treasury (bitcoin + stablecoins). Currently, fund tracking and law enforcement efforts are ongoing, and all recovered stolen assets will be used directly for compensation.
