A16z upgrades Jolt zkVM to introduce zero-knowledge support
Show original
A16z Crypto stated in its latest blog that some zkVMs have not truly achieved zero-knowledge privacy and only possess "succinctness," leading to the generalized use of the "ZK" label. On the same day, A16z introduced the NovaBlindFold folding scheme to the open-source Jolt zkVM, enabling native zero-knowledge support to prevent information leakage. After the upgrade, the generated proof is only about 3KB larger than the previous non-zero-knowledge version.
