According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum confirmed in an interview on March 8 local time that Venezuelan gold worth $100 million arrived in the United States on March 6 local time, reportedly "to be used for industrial and commercial purposes." According to information on the U.S. Treasury Department website, the United States issued a license that day authorizing specific transactions involving Venezuelan gold. Earlier last week, Burgum visited Venezuela, with a focus on the mining sector during his trip.
