Jinse Finance reported that Amanda Tuminelli, Chief Legal Officer of the DeFi Education Fund, posted on X stating that the U.S. Department of Justice has decided to retry the case against Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm in the fall. Despite failing to convince the jury in the first trial and making obvious mistakes—such as calling irrelevant witnesses, lacking understanding of their own blockchain forensic evidence, and presenting multiple legal and logical flaws when accusing third-party developers—the Southern District of New York (SDNY) will still retry Roman Storm on counts 1 and 3 of the indictment.
