Survey Insights on Inflation Expectations
When participants were asked about the present inflation rate, the typical response was 4.6%, reflecting a slight decrease from the 4.7% reported in November 2025.
Looking ahead to the next year, the median forecast for inflation dropped to 3.2%, compared to 3.5% in November 2025.
For the following twelve months after that period, respondents again predicted a median inflation rate of 3.2%, a modest decline from the previous 3.3%.
Regarding longer-term expectations—specifically five years into the future—the median estimate remained steady at 3.7%, unchanged from November 2025.
Additionally, the survey revealed that 72% of participants, versus just 4%, held a particular view on the matter.
