Golden Ten Data reported on March 20 that in the late morning session, due to large technology stocks turning downward amid foreign capital selling, the South Korean stock market gave back its early gains. Foreign investors net sold 1.26 trillion won (approximately $842 million), causing the KOSPI index to reduce its early gains. Biotech and financial stocks rose. On the other hand, artificial intelligence investment company SK Square fell by 1.8%, and defense giant Hanwha Aerospace dropped 4.73%. Major shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries declined by 0.71%.
