Independently designed and constructed, China’s first 180,000-cubic-meter liquefied natural gas carrier has been completed.

The 180,000-cubic-meter liquefied natural gas carrier completed today was built by China Merchants Heavy Industry Haimen base. It has an overall length of 298.8 meters and a beam of 48 meters, and adopts a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system, featuring advantages such as a low boil-off rate and high environmental protection performance. This marks a significant breakthrough for Chinese shipbuilding enterprises in the construction of large clean energy vessels. It is also currently the largest liquefied natural gas carrier ever built and delivered in China.
