Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs seeing net outflows exceeding $325 million on April 13, as capital shifted to Ethereum funds, bringing new inflows. Ethereum network activity surged, with weekly daily transaction volume increasing by 41%, but stablecoin transfer volume and fees dropped significantly, indicating a decline in the economic value of on-chain activity. The future trend depends on sustained inflows into Ethereum funds, Bitcoin's ability to absorb ETF outflows, and improvements in the quality of on-chain activity on Ethereum.
