Each month, selected price indexes (SPI) track how prices shift for various goods and services commonly bought by households across New Zealand. The table below highlights the main percentage changes in prices, both on a monthly and yearly basis.

For the monthly comparison, figures reflect the difference between March 2026 and February 2026. Annual changes are measured by comparing March 2026 to March 2025.
