Musk: Tesla has started production of Cybercab autonomous taxis

Glonghui, April 24 — Tesla CEO Musk posted on his social media site X on Friday, stating that Tesla has begun production of its Cybercab autonomous taxi, fulfilling its long-standing promised release plan. Tesla had previously announced plans to begin production of its latest model this month and envisions the futuristic-looking Cybercab as part of its autonomous taxi network. The two-door, two-seater car, launched two years ago, lacks both a steering wheel and pedals, which requires certain exemptions from US regulatory authorities.
